RECIPE: Tropical green smoothie
This green smoothie is incredibly light and fresh tasting and has a tropical hint to it thanks to the combination of the lime and mint.
Ingredients:
1 ball of frozen spinach or two handfuls of fresh (washed thoroughly)
1 handful fresh mint leaves
½ banana
Juice of 1 lime
½ avocado
Pinch of salt
½ tsp honey
Blend together with some ice and add a dash of extra virgin olive oil and black pepper. These are undetectable and will help the body to absorb the nutrients from the ingredients.
Limes are a good source of vitamin C, spinach contains magnesium which is essential for muscle function and helps to keep us relaxed. Avocado contains potassium and its fat content will help all the nutrients to absorb.
